Illamasqua Launch

19 Jan

Wow, someone’s late to the party. Someone being me. Better late than never, eh?

Two months ago, one of my fav beauty brands, Illamasqua hosted a beauty blogger event at their brand spakin’ new counter in Myer Melbourne and my-oh-my are they the brand to watch, play and paint with! The sheer multitude of their product line coupled with their amazing formulas and colours leave me with the impression that they are out to take over the beauty world. And take over they will!

Don't you just want to play??

Wall of Make-Up. I want.

“Illamasqua is about more than Make-Up. Illamasqua is for the bolder person hiding inside all of us. It is an act and an attitude. A symbol of tolerance. A celebration of idiosyncrasies. A confident statement of self-ownership.”

With the tag line “Make-Up for your alter ego”, Illamasqua is all about experimenting and exploring just what you can do when given the freedom to.

What I loved about this particular event is that every one of us buzzing beauty bloggers had the chance to be “transformed” by some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable make-up artists I’ve ever come across. Their eyeshadow formula’s were silky soft, pigments were outrageous, nail polish glided on like a dream and their false eyelashes! Oh!! Don’t get me started on those!! Shu who??

My make over done by Peter who had an insane blue eye shadow on. I want!

Mel from ampersandmel. Check out her stunning eyes!

A huge thank you to the amazing Christabel Draffin for organising this event and all the staff on the Myer Melbourne counter for being so informative and accommodating to all us overexcited beauty bloggers. I trust this will not be the last we see and hear from Illamasqua!

Lilpil (Amy) and Val after their transformations!

Hannah, me and Jess. Taaa daaaa!!

I love it. What else would you expect from a brand born from the dark and illicit 1920s club scene of Berlin?
